Cooking log 10 :Going Green on Breakfast, Literally. Ochatsuke + α (295 kcal)

IMG_6104

This was breakfast from the other day. I had less to prepare for a dinner with friend that night. I didn’t realized until I saw the picture that….It was so green!!! To a point that it was funny.

Anyway, the taste was great. The center piece was a simple Japanese dish called Ochatsuke, meaning ”Soaked in tea”, which is basically rice in broth. The broth was actually salty with seafood extract, but a little touch of green tea powder was added to give it a fresh finish. I added some leftover Edamame and spinach in, and topped with pan grilled King trumpet mushroom.

All of this with only 295 kcal. I was full and happy 😀
